Abdullahi Idris Umar was elected Senator for the Gombe Central constituency of Gombe State, Nigeria, taking office on 29th, May 2007. He is a member of the All progressive Congress (APC).
Umar received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hon.) Degree and then preceded to the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos and was called to the Bar as a Barrister. He was appointed State Counsel to the Ministry Of Justice, Bauchi. He was elected to the House Of Representatives in 1999, and was re-elected in 2003. After taking his seat in the Senate for the 2007–2011 term. He was a chairman committees on Air Force, Federal Capital Territory, Finance and Judiciary and Human Rights & Legal Matters.
Mallam Ahmad Ibrahim is the Talban Kano. He is a graduate of Quantity Surveying and an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveying. He has worked extensively as a quantity surveyor for the past forty years. In the course of his private practice as a Principal Partner in Portalla Consultants, they have provided first class services to numerous clients in both the public and private sectors of our economy.
The Talban Kano is also a Director of several companies in various industries. He is well-travelled, read and is passionate about infrastructure development in Nigeria. He brings his wealth of experience and wide network of relationships to WA Network Limited.
Dr Jamil Isyaka Gwamna, a graduate of ABU Zaria, started his working career with the Nigerian Bank of commerce and industry in Abeokuta. After spending some years in Banking and Finance circle, he switched to the industrial sector where he joined Kaduna Aluminium company and later Kaduna Machine works as group chief Accountant. He left the management of Kaduna machine works in 1990, for his own private business and founded Amstrade ventures limited, a company which imports and sells heavy-duty earth moving equipment. Presently, Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna is the Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).
Sardaunan Gombe, holds a Ph.D in Economics, M.sc in Business Economics and Finance as well as B.sc in Accounting. Dr Jamil Gwamna has management expertise and versatile in Economic analysis and policy options associated with public private partnerships (PPP), public Finance Initiative (PFI) and other approaches to privatizing or commercializing State owned enterprises.
Muhammad Rabiu El Yakub is a highly experienced business and investment executive with over thirty years of post-graduation experience. He holds a bachelor or science as well as a master of business administration degrees. Mallam Rabiu started his career as an investment executive with Northern Nigeria Investments Limited where he rose to the position of acting managing director. He was also the acting managing director of Arewa Hotels and has been a board member of several companies such as International Tanners Limited, Yamaha Manufacturing (Nig) Limited, etc. He was also the chairman Maiduguri Flour Mills Limited, Rosehill Luxury Hotels Limited, etc. Mallam Rabiu is currently the Managing Director, Gezawa Commodity Market Limited and a director of WA Network Limited.
Mr. Musbahu Abba El Yakub holds a second-class upper division BSc (Hons.) and MSc. degrees in Nuclear Physics as well as a Master of Business Administration degree. He has worked as a lecturer in one of Nigeria’s premier universities before moving on to the banking industry. He rose to the rank of a Manager/Branch Head before he moved to one of the country’s largest conglomerates as a General Manager. He headed the Strategic Services as well as Import, Clearing and Logistics Units of the conglomerate.
Mr. El Yakub is a serial entrepreneur, consultant, author and widely travelled businessman. He is highly insightful with focus and passion on strategy and execution with over thirty-five years of post-graduation work and business experience.
Mukhtar Musa Bako holds a BSc., MSc., and PhD in Accounting. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
Dr. Bako has worked variously as a lecturer, banker and senior corporate executive for the last two decades. He is a through-bred professional with passion for systems, processes and controls. He is our Chief Finance Officer responsible for our accounting and treasury management.
He has MSc in Maritime Management Technology and a B.Tech in Transport Management Technology, Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), a certified Health & Safety professional. He has over twenty years of experience. Mr Eke is a consummate professional with a proven and verifiable track record of outstanding achievements and has vast experience in logistics including shipping, transportation, cargo surveys, business development, community affairs, Health & Safety (HSE), crude oil inspection, petroleum import, storage and export management amongst others.
Bethel Ukaoha coordinates administrative procedures and systems as the head administrator of W.A Network Limited. She is a well-groomed, self-driven professional with experience in Public Relation, Administration, Human resources, Business consulting and Management spanning over nine years. She is a graduate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. She holds an MBA (Human Resource) and Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Sciences from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria, respectively.
